Meghan Williams is a certified physician assistant (PA) with more than 15 years of experience.
After graduating from college with a marketing degree, Meghan switched to medicine when her brother was diagnosed with acute leukemia and treated at Northside Hospital’s Blood and Marrow Transplant Program. She spent a lot of time in the hospital and realized her love for medicine. Meghan decided to go back to school and becoming a PA was the best fit for her. Although it was a long road of prerequisites and then PA school, she has never regretted her decision.
Meghan has been with Surgical Specialists of Atlanta since 2009 where she developed expertise in both general and breast surgery. As the practice has grown over the years, she has had the opportunity to work with all the physicians and currently she is working alongside Dr. Iqbal Garcha. She enjoys the role of a surgical PA where she gets to establish the relationship with the patient in the office, assist in their surgery and help walk them through the recovery. Meghan especially loves the help and support she can provide to our breast cancer patients during an especially difficult time.
When she’s not working, Meghan enjoys spending time with her husband and children — at the ball fields mostly — as well as traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with friends.
