About Dr. Julie McGill

Julie F. McGill, MD is a board-certified general surgeon, specializing in endocrine surgery and breast surgery. Her practice focuses on treatment of thyroid disease, parathyroid disease, adrenal nodules, adrenal cancer as well as benign breast disease and breast cancer.

She is one of the few fellowship-trained endocrine surgeons in the southeastern United States. She has served on the American Association of Endocrine Surgeons leadership team helping craft national guidelines, teaching seminars and educating future endocrine surgeons.

For the past 15 years she has also focused on providing high quality breast care. She has attended bi-weekly multidisciplinary breast conferences to foster a cooperative approach to breast cancer care and has served on the hospital’s breast leadership council.

She believes patient care is a collaboration between the physician and the patient. She takes the time to explain the disease and treatment options, so the patient can make an informed decision about the best treatment option for them.

When she is not at work, Dr. McGill enjoys swimming, reading, traveling, and spending time outdoors with her family.
