About Dr. Janine Pettiford

Dr. Janine N. Pettiford is board-certified in general surgery. She specializes in surgical breast oncology, treatment of benign and malignant breast disease and high risk breast cancer patients. She chose breast oncology based on the need for prevention and intervention.

Dr. Pettiford’s goal is to improve each patient’s quality of life, providing exceptional care with over 15 years of experience. She believes that beyond being the expert for her patients, it’s important that she gets to know the unique personality and circumstance each patient brings. Her philosophy of care is that a strong patient and physician relationship is at the heart of great health care. Her commitment is to be a compassionate and dedicated breast surgeon during her patient’s breast cancer journey.

In addition to her unique training, which includes surgical breast procedures such as office ultrasound guided biopsy and aspirations, she believes in quality individualized care. By connecting with her patients, she is able to enlighten them about their treatment plans while empowering them to live healthier and happier lives.

Outside of the office, Dr. Pettiford enjoys spending time with her daughter, family, close friends, traveling, swimming and giving back to her community.

Dr. Pettiford sees patients in our Midtown and Spivey Station locations.
